The Fayette Merc

Hyper local, high quality grocers

The Fayette Merc is a local-focused grocery store. The market is a throwback to its mercantile roots and forward-looking collaborative, experiential market.

We offer regenerative meats, raw milk and cheese, pasture eggs, local seasonal fruits and vegetables, dry bulk goods, local honey, specialty beverages, handcrafted skin care, homebrew kombucha, freshly baked bread, and homemade treats.

In addition to the market, we offer food and product experiences by local purveyors and product experts.

My family and I are very grateful to have The Merc in town. This is a true food oasis! This is also a historically significant location in town. You really couldn’t ask for more all perks of a small town and The Merc a couple blocks walk away.” – Daniel, Google Review

We have been preparing for The Merc since setting our eyes on this building two years ago. When we bought our home, we knew we’d be using the historic storefront for something in the not-too-distant future. Once we settled in, it was time to explore this vision.

We attended the Utah Farm and Food Conference, where we met many like-minded foodies and shared successes and struggles with accessing high-quality and local foods in our rural areas. There are plenty of good food producers around where we live, but having a consistent and reliable distributor is needed.

The Merc is fulfilling that lack as a hub for great food producers and consumers looking for hyper-local goods without driving all over the county or beyond to meet their food needs.

Utilizing our skills as resourceful networkers with past business start-up experience, we can’t wait to see what The Merc will be able to do to bring proper health and connection to our local neighbors as well as the greater Utah food community.
