Salt Lake County has operated the Wheeler Sunday Market since 2018. Wheeler Historic Farm opens market vendor applications to the general public and vendors are vetted by the Farmer’s Market Committee made up of a mix of County and Utah State University staff. The Market is a community favorite drawing crowds on Sundays June – October. The last Sunday of the month features a Children’s Market where young entrepreneurs can sell their handmade or homegrown products.

Great little farmers market. It’s not nearly as big as the downtown market, which isn’t necessarily bad, as it feels more intimate and easier to get through. There’s a decent selection of vendors and food trucks. We usually will walk around the farm afterwards, my son loves to see the animals after going through the market.

What a beautiful place! Love the Sunday Farmers market in the late Summer. You can get breakfast, or brunch and coffee. Not to mention all the amazing fresh farm produce abd other eclectic vendors. BUT there is so so much more! From the historic farm, barn and animals, with all the activities associated there, there are beautiful ground with huge trees and ponds, walking and jogging trails. There are vegetable gardens and beautiful carved wooden sculptures from trees. Playgrounds, picnic area, tons of grass, pet friendly. Just a wonderful place to spend some time!

Acres of recreation, wagon rides, historic tractors, huge play structure, animals galore, and the best Farmer’s market this side of the valley. I can’t say enough about how great this facility is. My family and I have been coming here for years. We love this historic farm. The tour of the farmhouse is definitely worth checking out.

This is the best nursery in the valley. I have been shopping there since Alex opened his doors. It gets bigger and better every year. I’m so grateful to have this wonderful garden center just a mile from my home.

Kid Curry Spirits, LLC

Our label is created specifically to honor the Utah Outlaw West.  Kid Curry (Harvey Logan) was a prominent member of the Wild Bunch with Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid.  He had spent a formidable amount of his renegade life in Southern Utah with the Hole In The Wall Gang. The label is Kid Curry’s wanted poster depiction.  Made into an outlaw by unfortunate circumstances, he became Butch and Sundance’s third in command. Considered one of the fastest guns in the Wild West – Harvey Logan also had another alias – Tom Capehart which is the signature name of our Vanilla Caramel Vodka.

The best local Utah vodka period. And you need to try the Capehart. It is the best shot served cold straight ever.

What a fun and unique place. All the stores were so original. And I loved that they saved all these beautiful old houses. My favorite store was “Aunt Elsie’s”, with the mix of old, new, whimsical and unusual.

Wasatch Cooperative Market

We are an organization dedicated to giving the Salt Lake area a better food & grocery experience by establishing a cooperative market near downtown SLC.

Specifically, we aim to open a community grocery to strengthen Utah’s local food economy and provide the highest quality goods patrons can trust from farm to shelf. Our mission is to cultivate a healthy community by bringing together local producers and consumers at your community-owned grocery.

Our organization works by utilizing volunteers to recruit our  local community members to invest in the cooperative market. This investment ensures that we have a confirmed market and audience that justifies the store’s existence. With enough investors and support from the community, we will pick a location, raise further capital, and build out the grocery store.

We are not alone; there are over 300 thriving cooperative markets across the US, including several in Minnesota, Chicago, and Montana. These organizations are all founded and owned by their community members, and they work together alongside other cooperative based business to ensure success of each individual coop.

Tonguespank

We make HOT spice blends featuring local Utah liquor! We are based in Lehi and do our blending and dehydrating in Lindon, Utah.  Using hot spices in new culinary areas has been increasing to many areas including BBQing, crafty cocktails, hot tabletop blends and the fast food industry has even jumped onto the bandwagon too.

Infusing spice blends with local Utah liquors add flavor and complexity to spice blends that cannot be found anywhere else.  The boom in local craft distillers making amazing world class award-winning spirits gives us some of the most amazing spirits to use in our blends and rubs

Each blend has a HOT profile geared to bring heat to different dishes without just making a face-melting painful dish.

These spices really add a spark to boring veggies. Add a burst to your baked potato. Glazed carrots are no longer boring. And my favorite —broccoli and rice.

These tastebud treats aren’t just for meats!
