Sandwich Shop

Moochie’s is a little gem of a sandwich shop offering up award-winning sandwiches, salads, pasta and soups in a unique local atmosphere. Known for authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and handmade meatball sandwiches, we are a favorite of Utah natives and visitors alike.

Prepare yourself before you visit one of our three locations. You should expect more than a sandwich. We are the life dream of a Philadelphia native who loves waking up every day to make fresh, delicious food. We think good food makes life better.

Joanna Rendi & Don MacDonald
Owners

Moochie’s got its start in the back of the Circle Pottery Gift Shop, where Don MacDonald had been creating beautiful handmade pottery for over 30 years. When he met Joanna Rendi, life got good and they remodeled the gift shop to put in a little kitchen in the back. Originally from Philadelphia, she a lifelong dream of owning a little sandwich shop like the ones she grew up with in Philly.

We introduced Moochie’s Meatballs and More to Salt Lake City in September 2003, serving fresh homemade Italian food and authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and meatball sandwiches in Utah. Almost immediately, we began winning local and national awards for our fresh, handmade food, and it wasn’t long before the sandwich shop took over the pottery shop completely. In 2009, Moochie’s was selected to be one of seven restaurants featured on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”
