The Downtown Farmers Market was created in 1992 by the Downtown Alliance and has become a summer tradition for residents of Salt Lake City and beyond. Located in Historic Pioneer Park, the Farmers Market has expanded to include the Art & Craft Market, and the Winter Market at Rio Grande Depot.
What is an alpaca? How are they different from llamas? What do you do with them? Come visit us and discover the pleasant animals that alpacas are. Feed them grain, touch their sheared fleece, get adventurous and try carding the fleece! Purchase hand-knitted apparel made from alpaca fleece (hats and more). Buy some amazing hand-spun yarn and make your own hats!
Join us each Wednesday at Fairmont Park from 5:00-8:00 p.m., where you can enjoy fresh local produce, unique and delicious foods or find that amazing artisan craft you've always been looking for. Relax to the sweet sounds of local musicians or drop by the pond to feed the ducks.
Fairmont Park is definitely one of Sugar House's hidden gems.
